Towards Performance

Two-day dance improvisation and composition workshop with Alexis Tsiamoglou at Dance House Nicosia.

Dancer and choreographer Alexis Tsiamoglou leads a workshop combining movement, reading, writing, listening and observation. Activation exercises lead into individual and group work on space, time, quality, gaze and movement dynamics. Image-editing ideas, video, group games and Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt’s Oblique Strategies help turn personal material into performable work.

Open to performers, actors, dancers, performing arts students and anyone interested in movement and creative research; formal dance training is not strictly required. Wear comfortable movement clothing. Limited places, first come, first served. Reserve through Vanilla Studio on 97 970187.
